What Do I Know?
I already know some parts of the eye but there are many more. I know partially why sometimes are vision is blurry and we need glasses. Ther is so much more into the human eye.
What Have I Learned?
I have learned the parts of the human eye and how they work, why we have eye diseases and how we get them, why we have blurry vision (near and farsighted). I have also learned there are so many parts to the eye and if only one wasn't working, then the whole eye couldn't work.
What Do I Want To Know?
I want to learn more of if animal eyes are the same. It was cool listening to the project about colour blindness in dogs because I could relate to some things.
How Will I Find Out?
I will research and take down notes onto my google drive. I will research 1/3 subtopic questions per day.
What Action Will I Take?
I will create an iMovie to audio record my learning. I will have pictures showing as I speak.
What new Questions do I Have?
Some new questions I had along the way were, What are the parts of the eye, why do we have blurry vision, how do we get eye diseases, what makes the iris blue, brown, ect. There are so many interesting things to the eye.
My Reflection:
doing the eye as my project was very interesting. I have learned so much, I felt like my brain was going to explode with knowledge! There are millions of parts it feels like that all make up one eye. Without one little thing the eye wouldn't work properly. I think the most fascinating part of my project was learning how the parts work. I can't think of a lot of things I would've done differently but I would have different sub questions. I would maybe also focus on one part of the eye at a time. For example I might focus on how they work, or what makes you see, ect.
I never really had any problems with my project. The only hard part would probably of been is understanding all the advanced doctor words but I was on a website that was very helpful and made a lot of sense.
I'm so happy with my final project. I'm glad I was gave the chance to explore in what I want to learn about. I hope we get a chance to do another genius hour, I wonder what my question will be next time!
