Today I worked on finishing touches to my presentation. For example I added some fun facts about the eye. Like, The human eye can process 36,00 or more bits of information every hour. I am now completely finished my genius hour. While I am presenting, I will show my information is true with using an eye poster that has everything you need to know.
I learned that the human eye and the dog eye are similar. The work the same but all dogs have a form of colour blindness. I also learned that cones and rods (parts of the to help see some colours) are named after there shapes. One thing I also found interesting was that if you don't cry, you will get a disease called dry eye. So it's healthy to cry, because if you never cry your eyes won't get the chemicals they need.
Since I'm finished my presentation, and my notes, I don't really have any next steps.
I'm all ready to go and I'm really excited. I'm already thinking of questions for my next genius hour. I love genius hour because we don't get a mark for our work. We just do it for our own wonders and questions. It's funny, even though it doesn't end up on my report card, I've never been so passionate about my learning.
